No. Set Space isn’t for finding locations — it’s for adding and organising your own. Everything in your database is yours alone, not a shared pool.

Yes, however, we recommend holding an ongoing subscription. The platform is most valuable when used by an individual location professional who can add collaborators and retain ownership of the locations after the project has finished.

Yes, you can add collaborators to a collection or a project. They'll need their own Set Space account to comment and contribute.

Yes. Set Space is a progressive web app, so it works on both desktop and mobile without needing to download anything. You can take photos on your phone and upload them straight to Set Space from your mobile browser. A native app is also in the works.

Set Space uses AI to help you search your own library using natural language, rather than relying on manual tags alone. Using Image Search, you can describe a location and find it, not just search by keyword. All AI features are optional and can be turned off at any time.

Set Space is a bespoke personal database crafted for location management. Unlike general purpose storage tools, every decision about the platform has been made with production needs in mind.

The key difference is that Set Space organises locations around a pin on a map rather than a folder of images. You can attach tags, images, notes, contacts and files to each location. Locations can then be grouped into collections, and collections into projects. Because each location is a single source of truth, it can appear across as many collections and projects as needed.

This kind of flexibility and tracking isn’t possible with conventional filing tools Dropbox and Sharepoint.

Professional (paid) accounts have no location limit, with up to 1TB of storage included. Free accounts are limited to 25 locations and a smaller amount of storage.

Your Set Space files and images are stored on secure, geographically distributed cloud servers for fast, reliable access.

We back up all images and files daily to an offsite location to keep your data safe.

Privacy is core to Set Space. By default, all the images and data you upload remain private to you. You can choose to share your locations with another user, or publish them via a shareable link.

You retain full ownership of all your content. Set Space will never sell the images and data that you upload. You can read section 5 of our Terms and Conditions (https://set.space/terms-and-conditions) for further information.

Yes, your location images can be downloaded at any time. CSV export of location data is in development.

If you cancel your subscription, your account becomes read-only. Your files remain accessible and downloadable for 90 days from your cancellation date. After 90 days, your data may be permanently deleted. We'll notify you through multiple emails in advance. If you resubscribe before then, your data is fully restored.

Set Space is priced to compete with general file-hosting services, while also including location management features (such as tagging, searching, contact management, and presenting) that you’d otherwise pay extra for elsewhere.

Instead of relying on a patchwork of tools to manage your locations (image storage, spreadsheets, address books, maps, presentation decks etc), Set Space is a single platform that supports your entire location scouting workflow.

Plans start at $49.90/month, with 1TB of included file storage.
